Leeds loanee requests early loan termination and wishes to join a new club

According to Santi Aouna, Diego Llorente’s agents have requested that Roma terminate his loan arrangement with Leeds United in order for him to join Paris Saint-Germain.

The reliable journalist writes on his personal Twitter account (13 January) that the player wants to move to the French capital, and Roma is willing to allow him depart early this month.
However, they want to find a low-cost replacement first before proceeding with the transaction, with Leeds willing to send him to Paris Saint-Germain, according to the FootMercato article.

“Diego Llorente’s agents asked Roma if it was possible to break the defender’s loan,” he said in a statement.

“Roma is not opposed to it, but first wants to find a low-cost alternative. Diego Llorente wants to join PSG.

    Whatever you want

Llorente can do anything he wants with Leeds because he is not a part of the club’s future plans. Llorente left the club in January 2023, prior to relegation, demonstrating that he lacked dedication and that the management did not expect him to remain a member of the squad.

Things haven’t changed since then, and the reason he was permitted to go on loan again in the summer was because a buy-option was added to the equation.

If Paris Saint-Germain wants to take over that loan arrangement on the same conditions, it makes no difference to the 49ers or Leeds, as long as the club isn’t shortchanged at the end.

Llorente to PSG would be a strange move, but he knows the boss, and Roma are clearly willing to let him go, so this is likely to happen before the end of the month deadline.
