The English Premier League strugglers are on a rampage after being denied three penalties in their loss to Everton.
Nottingham Forest are ‘considering’ suing Sky after Gary Neville stated they were behaving like a’mafia gang’ following their shocking statement on VAR Stuart Attwell.
Forest have been chastised for their reaction to not receiving three penalties in their Saturday defeat at Everton, as the Toffees secured a crucial three points in their relegation struggle at Goodison. Almost immediately after the game, the City Ground outfit issued a statement saying they informed Professional Game Match Officials Limited that Attwell, who was on VAR duty, supported relegation rivals Luton Town and wanted him replaced.
They claimed to be examining their options after refusing to accept the calls that were made against them. However, they have now been chastised by personalities throughout the game for their reaction. Forest had former Premier League whistler Mark Clattenburg working for them as a consultant, and he backed up the club’s assertions in a contentious Daily Mail essay in which he omitted to identify his affiliation with the club.
The FA and Premier League are now preparing to throw the book at the two-time European Cup winners. However, this has not deterred them, as they are now focusing on Manchester United legend and high-profile Sky pundit Neville. According to the Mail, Forest is currently composing a letter to the broadcaster.
Following the Everton game, Neville stated, ‘It’s like a mafia-gang statement. I mean, really, what are they playing at? It’s embarrassing to be a whiny child. And some of what they’re putting in there, like the possibility of cheating because there’s a VAR official in Stockley Park who’s a Luton supporter, is a disgrace, and they will pay for it.
