The January transfer window is heating up, as Tottenham Hotspur are looking to buy a man who has recently impressed James Maddison.
Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou is rumored to be looking for three players in this transfer window: a defender, a midfielder, and a forward.
And, with a deal for Timo Werner nearly done, Postecoglou appears to have landed his striker.
Furthermore, a trade for centre-back Radu Dragusin is developing smoothly, despite Bayern Munich’s renewed interest. That leaves just one midfielder. Fortunately for Tottenham fans, it appears the team has identified some targets.
Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White, according to Mail Sport’s ‘Transfer Confidential’.
Spurs have raided Forest for Brennan Johnson this summer, and it appears his former £43 million teammate could be next.
Postecoglou’s side is thought to be tracking Gibbs-White for the summer window, which makes sense considering Forest’s expected position in January.
That being considered, Tottenham could certainly benefit from such a profile right now, especially given how long crucial midfielder James Maddison has been missing.
James Maddison believes Tottenham target Morgan Gibbs-White is a wonderful player.
Maddison previously congratulated Gibbs-White on winning the Under-21 European Championships with England. He said, “Congratulations, mate!!” “A brilliant tournament.”
And if Tottenham were able to sign a player of Gibbs-White’s caliber next summer, there’s little doubt he’d fit right in alongside Maddison. It is undoubtedly a fascinating thought.
However, the here and now is far more essential for Spurs; they still have a lot to achieve in this window.
And perhaps today’s happenings have presented another compelling reason why Tottenham should sign Radu Dragusin as soon as possible. Although everything appears to be going well, Spurs must complete their transactions.
And if the club is unable to stave off Bayern Munich’s interest in Dragusin this month, they may want to pursue another former Chelsea player after Werner.
