When it comes to injuries at Nottingham Forest, it always rains heavily. Now, another star player appears to have suffered an injury while on international service.

Forest has a dozen players currently on international duty. Some appear to be having more success than others, and one appears to be injured.

When a club’s players go for international duty, it is always a source of pride. However, from the Forest’s standpoint, it’s a case of praying that everyone returns safely and without any injuries.

Forest has a lot of players on international duty, many of whom are crucial to the team’s success. Following yesterday’s events, it appears that one of them has been harmed.

Willy Boly limps off to Ivory Coast

Well, it appears that the worst nightmares have become reality. Boly returned for Forest in the 1-1 draw against Luton, but limped off when the Ivory Coast drew a friendly with Benin yesterday.

The 33-year-old kicked off the game as the African Nations Cup champions played at home. After only 40 minutes, he was on his way back down the tunnel, and Forest now awaits the prognosis.

Boly signed with Forest from Wolves in the summer of 2022. He cost £2 million to sign, and when fit, he is regarded as one of the team’s best defenders.

Who Scored shows that Boly has won more headers than any other Forest player this season. He also has the second-most clearances and blocks, after only Murillo.

Forest will now carefully await Boly news.

If Forest knows anything about Boly, we believe the club will demand that he return to the City Ground for an assessment. Forest face Crystal Palace on Saturday and cannot afford any more casualties.

When called upon, the centre-back has proven to be an effective defender. He’s the type of player who simply enjoys heading the ball, and Kelvin Wilson has praised Boly for his performances at Forest.

It was reported this week that Boly will be given a new contract by Forest. However, his injury record must be a source of concern for those behind the scenes at the club.

Forest’s injury rate is quite frightening. That has been the case since the club’s ascension to the Premier League, and it is something Forest should consider this summer.
