Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive, as Joe Worrall’s future is under the limelight while on loan in Turkey.
Nottingham Forest’s Joe Worrall is alleged to have informed Besiktas that he intends to continue with the club next season.
Besiktas has a clause in the defender’s loan agreement to make the move permanent in the summer. According to Fanatik, Worrall has informed the club’s management that he intends to stay in Turkey after this season.
The 27-year-old centre-back has appeared three times for Besiktas in the Super Lig since leaving the City Ground in February. He has yet to enjoy success with his new club, but manager Fernando Santos has lauded both the individual and the team.
Santos said after the team’s defeat to Antalyaspor: “I believe in this group of players, and we must stick together. Our goal is to finish third and win the Cup. I believe we will attain these objectives.
“I never criticise my players.” I never say anything about their performance.
“I trust them, and we must work together. Looking back at the previous games, we were not aggressive and played slowly, but I believe we played well tonight.
“We didn’t play well in the first half, but we improved dramatically in the second half. My players worked hard. If we had scored the 3-2 goal today, our perspective would be different.
