“I’m really worried.” Alan Shearer is now genuinely concerned about Nottingham Forest

Alan Shearer has finally explained why he is so anxious about Nottingham Forest as the season nears its conclusion.

The commentator appeared on this week’s episode of The Rest is Football podcast.

So, what exactly did Shearer say, and why is he so concerned for Forest? Let’s look more closely.

What has Alan Shearer said about Nottingham Forest?

Shearer will not be the only one who is anxious about Nottingham Forest’s Premier League future.

The Reds have won only one of their past eight games and were defeated 1-0 by Brighton in a dull match on Sunday.

Forest urgently need to win a game or two in a row soon, and frankly, time is running out for the Reds to pull it together.

Shearer has explained why he is concerned about Forest this season, admitting that he would be concerned as a fan.

He said on The Rest is Football podcast, “They’re in a rut, aren’t they?” If you are a Forest fan, you would be really concerned about what is going on there. The performances and lack of confidence make this a worrying time for them.”

Shearer was eager to defend Forest last weekend. He went against the flow of the other experts by slamming referee Paul Tierney for his error in the defeat to Liverpool.

Shearer is spot on about the current City Ground issue.

Most Forest fans will believe Shearer’s assessment of the current scenario is accurate.

The Reds appear to be terrified of the possibility of losing points.

Forest could receive their punishment before Friday, and Luton could be ahead of the Reds before their big showdown at the weekend.

The Reds sorely need to get back to fundamentals, and Nuno Espirito Santo must get his team ready for the next big game.

Forest does not want to go down this season, but if they do not get their act together soon, that is exactly what will happen.
