Leeds United are one of the few clubs interested in signing Genk left-back Archie Brown this summer, who has made a name for himself in Belgium this season.
Daniel Farke will be hoping to see his side play in the Premier League this season, and the new recruitment system above him will have contingencies in place to ensure that happens.
Signings aren’t a top priority right now, but Jordan Miles and his scouting staff will keep an eye on players around Europe who may fill very evident gaps in 2024.
Leeds want to sign Genk left-back Archie Brown, according to reports.
HITC revealed this week that Leeds are one of a few clubs interested in signing 21-year-old left-back Archie Brown.
The kid is presently playing for Genk after leaving Derby County’s development team for Belgium in 2021. He moved from Lausanne at the start of the season to join one of the country’s best sides.
Brown, a versatile defender, has pleased UK scouts, and three Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Fulham, and Brentford, are also interested in signing him.
Leeds could have a ready-made signing in Brown for the summer.
If Leeds is successful in their pursuit of Brown, the Whites will play in the Premier League the next season.
So, with that in mind, it appears to be a very good signing for the club to be looking at, given his physical presence as a left-back, something Leeds need to focus on a lot more than they did last time they went up – signing a number of players who were not physically robust enough for the Premier League, whether in terms of aggression or injury.
Leeds would be acquiring someone who is not only excellent defensively, but also a valuable possession player.
