The most recent information on Nottingham Forest as the Reds name a new chief operating officer at City Ground

Paul Bell has been named as Nottingham Forest’s new chief operating officer.

Bell has a wealth of expertise, having served as Leeds United’s executive director in the past. It is claimed that during his seven years at Elland Road, he contributed to “record commercial revenues.”

Reds chairman Tom Cartledge stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Paul Bell to Nottingham Forest as our new Chief Operating Officer.” With his wealth of knowledge, track record, and in-depth awareness of the football world, he is the best person to lead our team’s operational excellence and commercial growth. As we bolster our senior team and intensify our efforts to propel the club’s future success and growth, both on and off the field, we look forward to utilizing his knowledge.

Bell has worked in sports marketing for more than 20 years. Forest claim: “Over a five-year period, Leeds United’s retail company became the fastest-growing in European football under Paul’s guidance. In addition, he helped the Yorkshire club secure significant sponsorship arrangements with well-known companies including adidas, SBOTOP, Hisense, JD Sports, Heineken, and EA Sports.

“Paul’s influence went beyond sponsorship; he successfully organized Leeds United’s commercially-oriented preseason tours to Australia and Norway and hosted a range of international sporting events and music concerts at Elland Road, including World Championship Boxing, Rugby League World Cup matches, and England Senior Men’s and Women’s team friendlies.”

John Taylor, who declared his intention to depart the City Ground in September of last year, is replaced by Bell. After starting as head of finance in August 2017 and rising to the position of director of finance, Taylor became chief operations officer of the club in February 2022.

“After 6.5 years, I have decided it’s time for me to leave Nottingham Forest,” he stated on LinkedIn at the time of his departure. Having the chance to work for my boyhood club has been an honor. It has been an incredible experience that I will always remember.
