Crystal Palace co-owner John Textor has spoken out about Nottingham Forest and its owner, Evangelos Marinakis.

Forest are in danger of receiving a point punishment due to financial problems, and Textor seemed to sympathize with the Premier League club.

So, what did Crystal Palace’s co-owner John Textor say about Nottingham Forest and Evangelos Marinakis? Let’s have a look.

John Textor reflects about Nottingham Forest and Evangelos Marinakis.

Nottingham Forest are facing a points deduction, which may significantly reduce their chances of avoiding the dreaded drop to the Championship at the conclusion of the season.

According to talkSPORT, Forest has violated Profitability and Sustainability rules and will face Premier League sanctions.

Crystal Palace co-owner John Textor has commented on Forest’s dilemma, and he seemed to sympathize with owner Evangelos Marinakis, who is irritated by another off-pitch issue impacting the Reds.

Textor told BBC Sport, “Let me say something else about [chairman] Steve Parish. execute you understand how difficult it is to execute his job?

“Check out Nottingham Forest. This is a club with an extremely wealthy owner. And he arrives in the Premier League and is informed he cannot spend it. If you spend it and it falls into the area of losses, we will reprimand you and may send you back to your previous level.

“It’s not about financial sustainability or financial fairness; nobody is looking out for the little guy. This is [expletive]. People are ensuring that you can only spend a certain percentage of your revenue.

“Steve must operate his team with a top line of revenue that is fueled by television. We are not permitted to invest large sums of money in order to get additional players.

“So you have to manage your losses and find a method to live between the ninth and seventeenth spots, or you will return to the second tier [the Championship].

“If someone believes that I have a problem with Steve’s style of operating the club, and [how he] has been up for 12 years, just because we have a different opinion on matters… “Try being Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis right now.”
