According to Dr Rajpal Brar, Leeds United player Stuart Dallas will face a difficult road to recovery from a broken femur.
The injury expert concedes that there are no certainties that the Northern Ireland international will return to professional football, but it is unlikely because he will require further surgery.
In February 2022, he sustained a catastrophic and career-threatening injury against Manchester City in a Premier League match.
In an exclusive interview with MOT Leeds News, Brar, a Physical Therapist and Sports Scientist, stated about Dallas:
“It’s difficult to say whether he’s fighting a losing battle because it’s a major blow, but it’s undoubtedly a massive, uphill battle given the severity of the injuries and absence.
“It does not sound like a surgical issue, but rather one of recovering match fitness and performance levels.
“No guarantee he will ever make it back but he’s certainly trying.”
Leeds United supporters would love to see Dallas return from injury.
Dallas was a fan favourite during the promotion campaign and in their first season back in the Premier League.
He was praised not only by Elland Road supporters, but also by managers and fans from other clubs.
He has been a perfect professional throughout, and while his injury appears to be taking its toll, there is still hope that he will be able to return to duty.
