According to the Sunday Mirror, Leeds United are interested in signing Burnley right-back Connor Roberts this month following the departure of Djed Spence.
Last season, the 28-year-old right-back played a key role in Burnley’s promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.
Roberts began the season as Kompany’s first-choice right-back, but has since fallen out of favor with the Burnley manager.
Leeds have ended Spence’s loan, and Daniel Farke has been playing right-back with midfielder Archie Gray in numerous games.
With Stuart Dallas out injured and Luke Ayling linked with a move to Middlesbrough, Leeds are aiming to strengthen their right-back position in the January transfer window.
The Yorkshire club is now said to be interested in Burnley midfielder Roberts.
The 28-year-old has one and a half years remaining on his contract with the Clarets and has made 12 league appearances this season.
Leeds have not made a bid for the Burnley defender, and it is unclear whether Kompany will allow Roberts to depart this month.
