Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive: Richard Keys criticizes Erik ten Hag before of City Ground FA Cup match.
Richard Keys has attacked Erik ten Hag before of Nottingham Forest’s FA Cup match against Manchester United.
Forest welcome the Red Devils at the City Ground in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Wednesday night, having already defeated them at home in the Premier League this season. United will travel to Nottingham after losing 2-1 to Fulham at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday.
Ten Hag was disappointed with Fulham’s late winning goal, stating, “We lose the game with one loose moment.” We forgot to press when the ball was in the corner for the throw-in, which had serious ramifications.
“I think it’s horrible positioning. We should push each other more. This cannot occur while an opponent has a throw-in in the corner. We should close them down and prevent them from breaking.
“There is only one player, and we must ensure that he is in the appropriate place for the squad. The team must ensure that the positions are correct, and failure to do so will result in punishment.”
Keys has picked up on Ten Hag pointing out a mistake by his teammates.
“Ten Hag was at it again,” he posted on his blog. “His players appear to have ‘forgotten their jobs’. Is it nothing to do with their not being good enough, Erik? Or the squad you chose? Or what adjustments did you make?
