Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Ivan Perisic has played his final game for the club.
Ivan Perisic’s contract is slated to expire in the summer, but his time in North London appears to be coming to an end.
Charlie Eccleshare, the Athletic’s Spurs writer, broke the story following Ange Postecoglou’s recent remark.
When asked if Perisic could play before the end of the season, the Australian manager responded as follows:
“No, he’s doing his hardest to be fair to Ivan… But he won’t – he’s not going to play for us again.”
Ivan Perisic has been out since September due to a complicated ACL injury sustained during training.
The injury necessitated surgery, which kept him out for 5 to 6 months, virtually keeping him out for the rest of the season.
The winger is expected to return to his homeland in the summer, where he will most likely reconnect with his hometown club, Hajduk Split.
His illustrious career has seen him play for big clubs such as Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Borussia Dortmund, where he has won important prizes such as the Champions League and many league championships.
