David Prutton criticized Nottingham Forest’s Moussa Niakhate for his performance against Aston Villa on Saturday.

The former midfielder and Sky Sports anchor has spoken with the Forest Focus podcast.

So, what did Prutton say about Niakhate following his recent Forest performance? Let’s look more closely.

What David Prutton has said about Forest’s Moussa Niakhate
Prutton appears to have joined a long list of pundits in expressing alarm over Niakhate.

With Nuno Tavares sidelined due to injury, the 27-year-old was given an unexpected call to play left back.

Prutton criticized the defense, but he also expressed sympathy for the Forest defender.

He said on the Forest Focus podcast: “We’ll talk about Niakhate, bless him. It was one of those games in which everything seemed to merge together.

“Compared to the rest of the group, he appeared to be completely lost.

    “Whether that’s a communication thing, I don’t know.”

Niakhate will learn from the challenging afternoon.
In actuality, it was a bittersweet afternoon for the Forest player, who scored his first goal for the club.

Niakhate scored on the stroke of halftime, giving Forest a tiny advantage going into the break.

However, his defending in the first quarter while playing left-back was just inadequate.

In our opinion, playing Niakhate as a left-back is not optimal, and his abilities are better suited to centre-back.

Prutton gave Niakhate a fair assessment, and he will try to recover from his recent Forest performance.

Niakhate has had a difficult few weeks on the international stage and back at Forest.

To be fair, playing the center defender as a left-back backfired, but Nuno Espirito Santo will undoubtedly put this experience behind him in the future.
