HITC understands that Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement with former Manchester United midfielder Adam Berry.
Adam Berry left Manchester United earlier this season, and sources tell HITC that the midfielder has decided to sign a deal with Nottingham Forest.
Former Manchester United prospect Adam Berry has agreed to join Nottingham Forest.
Berry turned down United’s offer of a new contract because he did not see a path to the first team at Old Trafford.
A number of clubs approached Berry, including Sheffield United, Blackburn Rovers, Ipswich Town, Preston North End, and Plymouth Argyle.
However, following a week of training with Forest, which included a game against his previous club United, the 18-year-old has agreed to an 18-month contract to join them.
United are now sixth in the Premier League rankings, with 44 points from 25 matches, five points behind fourth-place Aston Villa. The Red Devils aspire to finish in the top four.
Forest, who are interested in acquiring Rosenborg midfielder Sverre Nypan, sit 16th in the Championship standings with 24 points from 25 games, four points clear of the relegation zone.
One for the future!
Adam Berry is a very bright and highly rated footballer who excelled for Manchester United’s Under-16 team before being promoted to the Under-18 squad.
Berry made his Under-18 debut for United when he was 15, demonstrating his ability and potential.
The teenager can play as both an attacking midfielder and a winger, and he will be a player to watch at Nottingham Forest in the future.
It would be intriguing to see whether Forest decides to utilize Berry, who previously scored a magnificent long-range goal from within his own center circle for the Under-15s, in the first team.
