Any Leeds United fans who were anxious about defender Diego Llorente can rest assured that he has been freed from hospital after suffering an injury for Roma on Thursday evening.
That’s according to La Roma 24, which is relaying information from Sky Italy, which says ‘positive news arrives’ for the defender, who was forced to leave the pitch after receiving a nasty knock to the head in Roma’s match against Feyenoord.
According to reports from earlier today, Llorente, who is on loan at Roma from Leeds this season, was forced to spend the night in hospital following the clash, which resulted in a terrible head wound.
The injury did not appear to be serious, but precautions were necessary, and he spent the night under observation, with his participation in Roma’s next game appearing improbable.
According to La Roma 24, the Spaniard spent the night at Villa Stuart and performed a CT scan, which yielded a negative result, indicating that everything is clear.
Thus, he was allowed to leave the Roman clinic early today afternoon, and his condition is fine, but it is unclear what role he will play when Roma face Torino on Monday.
The good news is that he has not sustained any long-term injuries as a result of the collision, something we’re sure Leeds fans will appreciate.
