Paul Merson has given his prediction on who will win when Nottingham Forest face West Ham on Saturday afternoon.

The commentator has spoken with Sportskeeda.

So, how does Merson predict Forest vs West Ham will go this weekend? Let’s look more closely.

Paul Merson predicts who will win on Saturday—Nottingham Forest or West Ham
Well, it appears that this will be a difficult decision for the pundits this weekend.

Forest have lost six of their past seven games at the City Ground, while West Ham were beaten 6-0 by Arsenal on Sunday.

Still, the Hammers have a lot of talent, and considering their current league position, they will be hoping to turn things around against Forest.

Merson does not believe they will, and has backed Forest to win 2-1.

He told Sportskeeda, “This is a must-win game for Forest.” If they don’t get three points here, I’ll be quite concerned about them.

“There are favorable moments to play against certain teams, and I believe this is the ideal time for Forest to face West Ham, who have just suffered a 6-0 defeat to Arsenal.

“This is nothing less than a cup final for Forest and expect them to record a big win in front of their home fans.”

Merson is right – Forest must win this weekend.

Saying that this is a must-win game for Forest may seem strange given that there are 13 games remaining after this weekend.
However, with Aston Villa, Liverpool, and Brighton on the horizon, Forest desperately need a win shortly.

Teams at the bottom will not keep doing Forest favours, and Merson is correct in claiming that this is a must-win. The Reds cannot continue to make the same mistakes, and the club must eventually perform on the field this weekend.
