Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar has provided the most recent information on Tottenham defender Ryan Sessegnon.
Spurs have suffered a number of injuries this season, with roughly 21 players sidelined. They finally appeared to have overcome their injury concerns with an almost complete squad, but both Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie have picked up injuries and are now doubtful for the game against Wolves.
Another player who will be unavailable for the Wolves game and beyond is Sessegnon.
He has been out since the summer due to a hamstring injury acquired during training, and only returned to action against Burnley last month, playing a few minutes.
However, he sustained another injury, which has kept him out since. Dr. Brar has now provided an update on Sessegnon. Speaking to Tottenham News, he said that the athlete is locked in a re-injury cycle and is struggling to break free.
He explains:
“He is locked in a re-injury cycle and is unable to break free.
“Playing matches and being as health-conscious as possible can help solve the situation.
“It could be a lack of sleep, stress reduction, nutrition, or strength and conditioning.
“Narrowing down the problem and then working hard to solve it will be the keys to him breaking out of that cycle.
“I see him missing a few more weeks.”
