Exclusive: Leeds senior man is set for ‘Big’ new deal

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke is certain to be granted a new contract if the club wins promotion this season, according to Football Insider.

Despite having more than three years left on his present contract, the 47-year-old might stay at Elland Road and receive a “big” wage raise.

Farke has led his Leeds team to seven consecutive Championship wins, and they have lately climbed into second position in the table, a significant development in the race for promotion against Southampton and Ipswich Town. The German is a second-tier promotion specialist who won the league twice with Norwich City.

He joined Leeds United last summer (2023), following their relegation from the Premier League.

If Leeds return to the Premier League, Farke is expected to sign a lucrative new contract.

It is expected that returning the Whites to the first division might win Farke a lucrative new long-term contract.

Leeds have won 20 of their 32 Championship games this season and are on track to match Reading’s 106-point total, with first-place Leicester on track to surpass it.

Farke has gotten the best out of top scorer Crysencio Summerville (16 goals, nine assists) and returning Dan James (10 goals, seven assists).
Despite losing no fewer than 20 first-team players in the transfer market this season, the Whites have maintained their good record.

Leeds have played one more game than third-place Southampton, who lost their 22-game unbeaten streak to Bristol City on Tuesday.

With a win over West Brom on Friday (16 February), the Saints may reclaim first place from Farke’s side.
