After enduring a difficult domestic campaign, the Europa League is the only saving grace left for the Bears this season.
With the Old Firm derby coming up on Sunday (16 March), the Light Blues are 16 points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
Ferguson will hope to get the managerial role permanently if he can get a positive result at Parkhead.
