Andrew Cavenagh, one of Rangers’ putative new US owners, was at Ibrox to watch the club defeat Fenerbahce in the Europa League.
Rangers are poised for a US takeover backed by healthcare magnate Cavenagh and US sports consortium 49ers Enterprises.
The £100 million takeover will give the Americans a 51% interest in Ibrox, with the deal scheduled to be completed by the end of May.
Cavenagh was in attendance to witness Rangers upset Fenerbahce on penalties, propelling the Ibrox team to the Europa League Quarter Finals.

Sky Sports was able to obtain a remark from the incoming Rangers owner following the match, although Cavenagh was tight-lipped about any takeover talks.
Explaining that he was simply at Ibrox to support Rangers against Fenerbahce, the American’s presence in Glasgow confirms reports that a takeover is imminent.
“A great match tonight,” Cavenagh added. “I’m only here to support the club.
“Have a wonderful night.”
The US healthcare insurance mogul would then disappear into his vehicle, with the Europa League match serving as a memorable night to drink in your first experience at Ibrox.
According to reports, the takeover of Rangers might cost US investors up to £100 million.
