Latest Nottingham Forest news: Nuno Espirito Santo’s Reds meet the Tractor Boys in an FA Cup clash at the City Ground.
Nuno Espirito Santo has chosen his Nottingham Forest squad to play Ipswich Town in tonight’s FA Cup match.
The Reds enter this evening’s match knowing they are only two wins away from a Wembley semi-final. If they get past the Tractor Boys, they’ll face Brighton and Hove Albion in the quarterfinal.
Nuno values the competition and understands how important it is to Forest. His team enters the match on the back of last Wednesday night’s 0-0 draw at home to Arsenal, where they bounced back from successive defeats in the Premier.
Nuno stated in his pre-match press conference that he will use the same lineup as in previous rounds for tonight’s encounter. He sees the cups as a chance to “reward” players who have struggled for regular minutes.
The Portuguese manager has made six changes to his starting lineup following last week’s draw with Arsenal. Matz Sels, Ola Aina, Murillo, Anthony Elanga, and Callum Hudson-Odoi will hold their spots.
Aina, Morato, Murillo, and Alex Moreno will form the back line ahead of goalie Sels. Ibrahim Sangare and Ryan Yates will form the midfield duo.
Elanga, Danilo, and Hudson-Odoi will provide attacking support for frontman Taiwo Awoniyi. The bench will consist of Wayne Hennessey, Neco Williams, and Elliot Anderson. Morgan Gibbs-White, Chris Wood, Nicolas Dominguez, Jota Silva, Ramón Sosa, and Willy Boly.
Forest: Sels, Aina, Morato, Murillo, Moreno; Sangare, Yates; Elanga, Danilo, Hudson-Odoi; Awoniyi. Subs include Hennessey, Williams, Anderson, Gibbs-White, Wood, Dominguez, Jota, Sosa, and Boly.
