Leeds United suffered a little setback to their promotion hopes after losing two points to West Brom on Saturday afternoon.
Despite taking the lead, Leeds were forced to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw at home against West Brom, allowing Sheffield United to gain ground in the race for a top-two spot.
The Whites are still in control, but a poor effort at Elland Road cost them two points.
Heading into the next 11 games of the season, Daniel Farke’s team simply needs to retain their consistency and find methods to continue scooping up points in the manner they are currently doing.
Farke is striving for promotion at the second attempt.
Following a dismal campaign last season, the burden is on Farke to produce promotion this season, and the latest supercomputer forecasts indicate that they will.
According to Opta Analyst, the Whites have an 85.24 percent chance of winning the title, with a very good 97.16 percent chance of securing immediate promotion.
Farke’s side are expected to finish the season one point shy of 100, seven points ahead of Sheffield United, who are currently the favourites to finish second.
If Leeds can end with 99 points, it will be a great achievement and one that they thoroughly deserve, though Farke will need to start using other players more frequently as the season progresses.
Willy Gnonto must be used in Leeds.
While Manor Solomon and Dan James have been terrific this season, rotation is critical at this point, and Willy Gnonto deserves more playing time.
Leeds are close to promotion, and the rotation will help them get there.
The Whites have 11 games remaining, five of which are at home, and Farke’s side appears to be on track to finish the season with success.
