Tottenham Hotspur are now looking to add a new centre-back as the defensive crisis at N17 continues.
Spurs’ season has been affected by many injuries to important players, particularly in defence, and they are now seeking for reinforcements.
Radu Dragusin is the latest Tottenham centre-back to suffer an injury, and he could be out for a long time.
Tottenham are in talks with Fikayo Tomori, but Fabrizio Romano has stated that the club has made an attempt for another defender.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have made a move to sign Axel Disasi
According to Romano on X, Tottenham have approached Chelsea defender Axel Disasi about a potential move to N17.
Although Disasi has already signed to personal terms with Aston Villa, Romano stated that he is contemplating the Spurs’ lead.
“He is expected to decide soon…” “It is up to the player,” wrote the transfer insider.
Disasi’s current status at Chelsea
Disasi, who joined Chelsea for £38.5 million from Monaco in August 2023, has struggled under Enzo Maresca this season.
Since the turn of the year, Disasi has played only 13 minutes of Premier League football, coming off the bench against Wolves.
However, the France international played the entire 90 minutes in the FA Cup victory over Morecambe.
Trevoh Chalobah’s comeback from his loan spell at Crystal Palace is expected to push Disasi lower down the Chelsea pecking order.
TBR Football sources have verified that Chelsea is now stalling talks with Villa over Disasi, which has made the player angry.
Disasi might use a change of scenery, and Tottenham would be a good place to start his career.
If Spurs sign him, they will be acquiring a player who Jacek Kulig of Football Talent Scout has described as “complete and dominant”.
Disasi has also been compared to Liverpool and Netherlands’ Virgil van Dijk.
