Keith Hackett believes UEFA delegates may include Union Saint-Gilloise defender Kevin Mac Allister in their post-match report against Rangers.
On January 30 (BBC Sportsound, 20:32), Mac Allister was seen kicking the corner flag into the Ibrox crowd in celebration after a disallowed goal, although he was not punished as the Bears triumphed 2-1.
Hackett believes that if it had been noticed, it should have resulted in a yellow card and been dealt with quickly.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, the ex-FIFA referee admitted that additional punishment could be taken following the missed incident at Ibrox.
“That action should have resulted in a yellow card minimum and the referee should have dealt with it immediately,” Hackett explained.
“There is a UEFA Match Delegate at the game, who may include it in his post-match report.
“It then may result in correspondence on the matter warning as to future behaviour by the player.”

Although officials were not aware of it at the time, it had the potential to cause major problems.
Supporters may have suffered as a result of Mac Allister’s conduct, and it is not surprising that he would be penalized retrospectively if not caught.
Philippe Clement will be content merely to cross the finish line with the massive victory, following yet another week of officials failing to bask in triumph both domestically and in Europe.
Nico Raskin and Vaclav Cerny scored the game-winning goals as the Light Blues held on for all three points, but the referee and his team completely lost the game with many bookings in the dying minutes.
