Leeds United loanee’s £20m exit clause could be ripped up, he might return in the summer

Jack Harrison has impressed on loan at Everton from Leeds United, using the relegation loan condition to return to the Premier League with the Toffees – but a purchase clause could be voided.

Harrison, 27, has helped Sean Dyche’s team score seven goals in 23 games across all competitions this season. He has four goals and three assists, including one in his most recent game.

A 2-2 draw with Tottenham. He also scored against his former club Manchester City. Harrison’s loan lacks a permanent clause, however he does have a buyout option that can be used during the loan.

Everton and Leeds have agreed on a £20 million price. Sean Dyche has expressed an interest in signing Harrison after his loan period ends. However, TeamTalk claims that option will be ripped up if Leeds is promoted back to the top division.

Leeds currently sits third in the Championship table. Automatic promotion, or promotion through the play-offs, remains a viable option. Harrison could end up returning to Leeds next season.

Jack Harrison’s Everton clause will be pulled up if Leeds are promoted.

Of all the players who went on loan, Harrison is the one who can be forgiven. The winger dedicated five years of his career to Leeds, helping us earn promotion.

He helped Leeds stay in the Premier League, scoring 37 goals in 107 games. Of all the players on loan, he would be the most forgiving.

Given Everton’s current financial situation, it’s unclear whether they want or can afford to buy Harrison permanently in the summer. Harrison might return and join another team in the summer.
