Tottenham Hotspur appear to be planning a move for an attacking player during the summer transfer window, with several names currently on the club’s radar.
Spurs have previously been connected to Raphinha. Meanwhile, Tottenham are keeping an eye on Pedro Neto following his great season so far.
Pedro Neto has been outstanding for Gary O’Neill’s team. According to Whoscored, only Ollie Watkins and Kieran Trippier have more Premier League assists than the Portuguese.
Matt Doherty praised Tottenham target Pedro Neto.
Wolves will be aware that retaining the 23-year-old will be extremely difficult in the summer. Manchester City is also interested in Neto. So it would be a huge surprise if Wolves didn’t have multiple bids to respond to when the window reopened.
Certainly, he would be a very exciting signing for Tottenham, especially given remarks made by former Spurs right-back Matt Doherty earlier this season.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Doherty said the winger’s potential is infinite.
“Pedro has always had the potential; he was doing it two years ago; he’s simply been unlucky with injuries that have slowed his progress.
“He appears fit now, and the sky’s the limit for him. He’s had some unlucky injuries, but we’re starting to see the best of him again.
“He was injured for a couple of the years I was away, but he was doing this type of stuff when he was 19 years old.”
Winger would be a wonderful signing.
It would be a huge coup for Tottenham to win the race to sign Neto this summer. He is perhaps one of the most intriguing Premier League players right now. And Ange Postecoglou’s team is unquestionably one of the greatest to see in the division.
Obviously, he has a history of injuries. So it may be a problem for the teams prepared to spend much on Neto this summer.
But if he reaches his full potential, he might be a fantastic addition for a team like Tottenham this summer.
