Daniel Farke was spotted raving berserk at Joe Rothwell during the Leeds United win against Norwich City on Wednesday.
The Whites scored a 2-0 win at Elland Road on 22 January with goals from Manor Solomon and Dan James proving the difference on the night.
It wasn’t always easy for the home team, as Farke expressed his frustrations throughout the game, singling out Rothwell after 30 minutes in L4.
Graham Smyth told X that the German head coach was observed “going mad at Rothwell for the wrong choice of pass, poorly executed one at that”.
Daniel Farke went berserk at Joe Rothwell during Leeds United’s game against Norwich.
The 30-year-old midfielder visibly irritated his manager in the first half, and things only got worse as the game progressed.
With less than 20 minutes remaining, the Bournemouth loanee went for a penalty, dived, and received a yellow card from referee Matt Donohue.
It is fair to say that this would not impress Farke, who replaced the Englishman later in the match with Josuha Guilovogui.
It’s disheartening that Rothwell felt he needed to stoop to diving, especially because the Whites were already up 2-0 at the time.
Although the home team did not put on a particularly strong performance in L4, three points is three points, and they return to the top of the Championship table.
Leeds, like Sheffield Wednesday, has areas where they can improve, but winning comfortably while not performing at their best is just a bonus.
