How much will Rangers have to pay after SPFL outfit rejects Serie A bid?

Rangers have long lacked a Scottish core at the heart of their club, but Philippe Clement is determined to change that.

The manager understands that UEFA laws dictate how his squad should be balanced, but there’s more to it than that.

Successful Rangers teams in the past have always had local players, but it appears that they may be missing out on one of the best in the country.

Motherwell rejects proposal for Rangers-linked Lennon Miller.

Nils Koppen has spoken about recruiting more SPFL players, and current transfer rumours imply Lyall Cameron is a target.

The Dundee midfielder spoke freely about earning a big move and playing at a stadium like Ibrox on a consistent basis.

Lennon Miller, a Scotland Under-21 teammate, is the most sought-after player north of the border, with Sky Sports reporting that Udinese has already rejected a £2.5 million approach.

If that is the starting price, Rangers are already out of the running; nevertheless, the success of Lewis Ferguson, Scott McTominay, and Billy Gilmour in Serie A will turn Miller’s head.

The San Siro, the SMiSA Stadium, the Stadio Olimpico, or the Scottish Foam Stadium?

    Decisions, decisions.

What has Patrick Stewart stated about who the Rangers will sign?

Patrick Stewart spoke extensively about Rangers’ rebuild, and one area he explicitly addressed in terms of the player trade concept was Scottish players.

“The second category is talented Scottish players and we want a talented group of young Scottish players not just young players that are going to form the core of the squad,” according to the newly appointed CEO.

“And again, two good examples are John Souttar and Connor Barron, both of whom have built that Scottish core. And having that is really important for the football club’s identity.

“I believe that supporters will demand a club that reflects their identity and values, which means that we will need homegrown players.

“Also your UEFA has regulations or a number of homegrown players so we would need to do this anyway but it’s more than just about ticking our compliance boxes, it’s about creating a real identity and a core within the dressing room.”
