According to Turkish media, Nottingham Forest has renewed their interest in signing Galatasaray forward Barış Alper Yılmaz.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League since the summer, following his impressive performance at Euro 2024. There were indications that Forest had made a bid for the winger near the end of the last window.

Photospor report Nottingham Forest and Lazio have reached out to Galatasaray via ‘official’ channels to inquire about the potential of selling Yılmaz before the transfer deadline.

Both clubs were believed to have scouted the attacker during a recent Galatasaray game, but it now appears that they will have to wait until the summer to sign him.

With Gala fighting on three fronts in their quest for silverware, the Super Lig side wants to keep him at least until the conclusion of the season. Okan Buruk, Cimbom’s manager, has lately stated that he wants his star attacker to continue with the club.

Yılmaz is contracted with Galatasaray until June 2027.
