Daniel Farke could make seven changes to his Leeds United starting line-up for their clash against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.
The German boss will be keen to strengthen his side for a return to Championship action after a 1-0 win against Harrogate Town in the FA Cup.
Although Illan Meslier has come under criticism for his mistakes this term, his boss has stood by him meaning he is likely to come back into the side for Karl Darlow.
In addition to this, Isaac Schmidt, Josuha Guilavogui, Sam Byram, Largie Ramazani, Willy Gnonto and Mateo Joseph could all drop out.
Therefore, Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, Junior Firpo, Brenden Aaronson, Dan James and Joel Piroe could join Meslier in returning to the line-up.
Daniel Farke makes Leeds United’s goalkeeper decision.
There have been worries about whether the current Leeds number one would be good enough to secure the Whites’ promotion this season, but the manager insists that the transfer window will be quiet and Meslier is safe, which would mean Darlow is dismissed.
The defence could see three changes, with Bogle, Pascal Struijk, and Rodon joining Firpo in the back line following his recent return from injury.
Farke has struggled in the midfield this season with Joe Rothwell, Ethan Ampadu, and Ao Tanaka, but he may start Rothwell and Ampadu for this test, knowing his other star is available from the bench if necessary.
James and Aaronson might join Manor Solomon on the team, with Ramazani moving to the bench. Despite scoring the solitary goal against Harrogate, the manager will be looking for three points from this local encounter, which means he will likely select his stronger players over the FA Cup clash against League Two opponents.
Finally, Piroe may replace Mateo Joseph on top. Joseph worked hard at Elland Road last time out but came up empty-handed.
As a result, with goals being an issue for the Whites, Farke may go with his best scorer of the season for this one.
