Tottenham Hotspur has been connected with Besiktas attacker Semih Kilicsoy in recent weeks.
According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Tottenham are interested in signing the 18-year-old attacker, who is one of the Superliga’s brightest young offensive talents.
In January, they stated that Tottenham were pursuing Kilicsoy with Aston Villa, Napoli, and Borussia Dortmund.
According to the source, the Turkish giants will not let the 18-year-old depart for less than €25 million, or approximately £22 million.
Although Kilicsoy did not move during the January transfer window, the player may find himself in a new environment this summer.
Tottenham will most likely be excited by what Besiktas board member Feyyaz Ucar has said about the player.
“I want to say that he will play for Besiktas for many years, but I don’t think we can keep him,” he told Fanatik.
“He is one of Turkey’s most talented players in recent years.” Vincenzo Montella will also invite him to the national team.
Although Tottenham bought Timo Werner in the January transfer window, he will initially be on loan.
Even if Spurs decide to buy – there is allegedly a £15 million option to sign permanently – there is still room to bring in interesting young players.
Kilicsoy certainly appears to match the criteria, having burst onto the Turkish scene this season and looking like a future star.
He has wowed his club this season, with eight goals and an assist in 19 games. This includes seven goals and one assist in his past seven.
Although the transfer window is officially closed until the summer, given how little business Premier League clubs did, there may be an unusual amount of movement at the end of the season.
If this is the true, Kilicsoy may have a number of suitors, therefore Spurs will have to work hard to sign him.
However, Tottenham have already signed Radu Dragusin and Lucas Bergvall ahead of Bayern Munich and Barcelona, so they will be confident in their chances.
