Birmingham City are interested in recruiting Adam Devine from Rangers during the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail reports (9 January) that the Blues are hoping to sign Devine on a cheap deal before his contract expires in the summer.
According to the report, the 21-year-old is at a crossroads in his career, having played only 11 times for the senior side and spending the second half of the season on loan at Motherwell.
Adam Devine could leave Rangers.
It would not be surprising if Devine left Ibrox in January, since Alan Nixon revealed (5 January) that West Brom are also interested in the defender.
Despite making his first-team debut for the Gers in 2022, the 21-year-old has had few opportunities since, and it would undoubtedly be better for him to move on to play regular football abroad.
With Birmingham now at the top of League One, vying for promotion back to the second tier, it’s no surprise that the club is looking for further reinforcements to carry the squad through to the conclusion of the season.
Although the Blues are looking at this as a cheap deal, given that the defender is out of contract in the summer, the Light Blues may see it as a good time to cash in for a minor cost as his contract expires.
