Nottingham Forest will face Wolves at Molineux tonight as the Reds hope to have fun in the snow as they make a short trip to the West Midlands.
The country has been pounded with a thick layer of the white stuff over the last 48 hours and Forest will be aiming to leave Wolves snowed in this evening.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is coming off a five-game winning streak, with Matz Sels keeping three clean sheets in the last three.
Wolves have improved under Vitor Pereira over the Christmas period, so tonight’s game will be a severe test for the team.
Still, it’s a game that does provide Forest with another chance to get points on the board and a win tonight would see the Reds hit the 40 mark after 20 games.
Predicted Nottingham Forest XI vs Wolves
Nottingham Forest rearguard
We’re not expecting too much to change here but Murillo did limp out of the warm-up when Forest played Everton last time out.
His injury isn’t serious it seems though and if he’s fit we anticipate that he will replace Morato next to Nikola Milenkovic.
At full-back there is no need for change with Ola Aina operating at right-back and Neco Williams hoping to continue his own good form on the left.
Sels will once again wear gloves and play between the posts.
The Forest Engine Room
After such a dominant victory over Everton, it would be unfair to drop any player for tonight’s game.
Nicolas Dominguez could be another casualty, as Espirito Santo replaces Ryan Yates, who missed the game at Goodison Park due to suspension.
Along with him, it would take a brave man to drop Elliot Anderson, who has five assists after a fantastic festive season playing as a typical midfielder.
Chris Wood, who scored 12 goals against Everton, will continue to lead Forest’s assault.
Forest are linked with Igor Jesus this month, and Wood will want to keep scoring goals while the Reds consider their options for the summer window.
Behind the talisman, there could be another change, with Callum Hudson-Odoi hoping to recover from the injury that kept him out of the Everton match.
He could come in on the left, with Anthony Elanga seeking to maintain his current fine form from the right side.
Morgan Gibbs-White will attempt to quiet his former club from the number 10 spot once more.
Also in consideration for Forest vs. Wolves.
These days, the Forest bench frequently possesses a wealth of skill.
Sosa, Dominguez, and Morato will all be benched as Espirito Santo makes the three changes expected tonight.
Jota Silva, James Ward-Prowse, Willy Boly, Harry Toffolo, and Taiwo Awoniyi made appearances against Everton.
We expect those players to be on the bench again tonight, with Carlos Miguel coming in as a replacement goalie.
Zach Abbott is working with the first squad, but he may miss out this evening.
