Liverpool fans have been urged to brace themselves for confirmation that Mo Salah will leave Anfield at the end of his contract, with former Everton manager Keith Wyness revealing where he will go next, and reports that two players are being considered as replacements.

The Egyptian sensation has proven to be one of Liverpool’s best signings, scoring an amazing 221 goals and providing 99 assists in 366 games since joining for a bargain £36.9 million from Roma in the summer of 2017. That total includes an incredible 20 goals this season alone, highlighting the 32-year-old’s critical importance to the Merseysiders.

Salah’s contract at Anfield is set to expire next summer, and speculation of a high-profile free transfer away has surrounded the star for a month.

In recent weeks, both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a move, with Salah claiming that he does not want to leave top-tier football.

However, former Everton manager Wyness claimed on the Inside Track podcast that a move to Saudi Arabia, where both Al-Ittihad and Al Hilal have been connected, will be finalized soon.

“Liverpool will manage this [news of his impending departure],” Wyness said.

“They’ll be speaking with Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, and Salah in the background.

“But I’m hearing that Salah will eventually be heading to the Middle East.

“That is what I’m being told.

“Liverpool is handling the media spin. Slot will have a much stronger stance on these topics, and his voice will be heard more and more following his promising start.”

What has Salah said about his future, and how much will he make in Saudi Arabia?
Claims of Salah’s departure come just days after Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg stated Salah and Liverpool are ‘far apart’ in their negotiations over his new contract.
