Morgan Gibbs-White has reacted to his dear buddy and teammate Murillo’s call-up to the Brazilian national squad.
Murillo has definitely improved this season at Nottingham Forest.
A large part of that has been his partnership with Nikola Milenkovic, as the two have helped Forest establish themselves as the Premier League’s second best defence.
This has sparked interest in Murillo from a number of clubs, but Forest has set a price tag of £60 million to £70 million for the defender.
It remains to be seen whether any teams will be willing to pay that much in the January transfer window, although some big names are linked, including Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Real Madrid.
Murillo is currently experiencing some exciting personal news, which has inspired a reply from Morgan Gibbs-White.
Morgan Gibbs-White responds to Murillo’s call-up to the Brazilian squad.
Morgan Gibbs-White has missed the last few games due to injury, one of which being the suspension he received following his actions against Brighton.
Unfortunately, Gibbs-White is one of four players out with a knock ahead of the West Ham encounter, so Nuno Espirito Santo may be forced to make changes.
He took to Instagram to selfishly congratulate one of his teammates, Murillo, after the defender was called up to the Brazil squad.
Gibbs-White said ‘finally brother’ on his Instagram story.
What do the experts think of Murillo?
Murillo has received accolades from almost every commentator this season for his Premier League performances.
Ian Wright said that he would spend his own money to see Murillo, and he believes he is fantastic.
However, Jamie Carragher has questioned whether elite clubs will want to recruit Murillo as a large defender with a big body, which appears ridiculous.
Whatever his size or shape, the fact that he’s delivering world-class performances should take precedence.
