Nottingham Forest and Chelsea were punished after players clashed during their Premier League match.

Nottingham Forest and Chelsea were punished when players clashed during their Premier League match on October 6.

The teams were penalized after it was claimed they failed to guarantee their players “didn’t behave in an improper and/or provocative way around the 88th minute” of the game.

Both teams accepted the accusation, and an FA representative announced that Forest and Chelsea have received fines of £125,000 and £40,000, respectively, for the incident.

A fight broke out in the closing minutes of their 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, prompted by Forest defender Neco Williams pushing Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella, who knocked down Blues manager Enzo Maresca.

The fracas involved nearly all 22 players, as well as substitutes and staff, and Cucurella received his fifth yellow card of the season, while Williams and Levi Colwill were also booked.
