Football Insider has learned that Nottingham Forest are interested in acquiring Burnley winger Luca Koleosho.
On the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior writer Pete O’Rourke reported that Koleosho’s future will be determined by Burnley’s position in the Championship.
The Clarets value the 20-year-old at £40 million after rapidly signing him to a new five-year contract.
The winger is also unlikely to depart during the forthcoming January transfer window, with the summer being a more likely period for a move.
Wolves attempted to sign Koleosho on deadline day but were turned down due to Burnley’s asking price.
However, it is unlikely that Forest will be the only team interested in him in future transfer windows.
Nottingham Forest will need to outbid other teams to sign Luca Koleosho.
There will be “a lot of interest” in Koleosho, giving Forest plenty of competition to secure his signing.
Forest have been attempting to sign a winger since the summer, when interest in Anthony Elanga increased, and Koleosho has emerged as a prominent target.
Last season, the winger has one goal and one assist in 15 Premier League matches.
The Italy Under-21 international has had an impressive start to the new season, scoring twice in five Championship games.
Scott Parker has chosen to start him in all but one game, making him an important member of the Burnley side.
