Everton have revealed an agreement in which existing Leeds United sponsor Red Bull will become the club’s new ‘Official Energy Drink Partner’.
The energy drink corporation was named Leeds’ front-of-shirt sponsor at the start of the season in an agreement that would see them acquire a minority investment in the West Yorkshire club.
Branding will be seen on bottle carriers, bottle coolers, and ice boxes at Everton’s Finch Farm training facility, as well as at home and away games.
No figures have been disclosed, but as part of the multi-year agreement, which will include not only the club’s historic final season at Goodison Park but also the move to their new 52,888-capacity stadium, Red Bull will have the opportunity to promote their brand globally across the club’s physical and digital channels.
Football Insider understands that it is a record-breaking financial contract for the Blues.
The corporation has had a presence in football since 2005, when it purchased Austrian club FC Salzburg and rebranded it as Red Bull Salzburg.

American businessman John Textor is looking to buy the club from its current owner, Farhad Moshiri.
Football Insider reported (September 5) that Textor’s Everton takeover offer will be delayed further if a potential acquirer of his Crystal Palace shares must pass the Premier League’s owners’ and directors’ test.
The Premier League prohibits the ownership of two clubs in the same division; because Textor also owns 45 percent of Palace, the transaction cannot be completed.
According to The Guardian, the American billionaire went into Liverpool on August 21 to continue conversations with Moshiri, with a deal expected to be finalized by the end of the week.
Manager Sean Dyche is also under pressure as the club sits dead last in the Premier League table, looking for its first win of the season.
Football Insider also reported (September 4) that David Moyes is gaining support inside the Everton boardroom to make a stunning return to the club.
