Last summer, Victor Orta’s relegation loan clause caused a lot of aggravation at Leeds United, as crucial players just walked out the door to go on loan, with Leeds unable to stop them.
Max Wober was a wonderful example. The Austrian star appeared to be staying put, even preparing to play in preseason games. But at the first sign of interest, he was gone.
He traveled to Gladbach. Brenden Aaronson, Marc Roca, Diego Llorente, Rasmus Kristensen, Robin Koch, Luis Sinisterra, and Jack Harrison all departed to join elite clubs in Germany, England, Italy, and Spain.
This summer, some of them will return. Koch will join Frankfurt on a free transfer, while Sinisterra has moved permanently to Bournemouth. Llorente and Roca are set to join Roma and Betis permanently.
Leeds intend to sell Jack Harrison whenever he returns from Everton.
However, Aaronson, Kristensen, Wober, and Harrison appear to be returning to Elland Road based on current circumstances. Harrison has only demonstrated glimpses of quality for Everton in 2023-24.
Sean Dyche’s team scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 28 games. However, it is unknown whether Everton would try to recruit Harrison on a permanent basis, and even if they do, The Toffees may struggle.
Everton’s finances have cost them six points this season. According to Give Me Sport, Harrison will return to Leeds rather than signing a permanent deal with Everton.
The winger’s future will then be examined before Leeds makes a decision, however it is expected that Leeds will seek to transfer Harrison permanently this summer. It’s unknown how much Leeds will ask for him.
Previous links reveal Harrison’s potential summer destinations.
Harrison, dubbed “spectacular” by Garth Crooks, will be in high demand this summer. Everton signed Harrison first, beating off Aston Villa. Harrison will wish he had chosen Villa.
Unai Emery’s interest in Harrison may remain. West Ham has been associated in the past. He is a player who, at his best, can play for a club that is aiming for Europe. A mid-table Premier League team is ideal.
However, his form at Everton has been far from outstanding. Leeds will be seeking to stimulate interest in Harrison from international and European clubs so that they do not have to face him next season.
Harrison, of course, has previously played outside of England, in the MLS for New York City. He may be interested in returning to America at some point, but possibly not right now.
